Learning Acceleration System Grant

CCLA – The California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration

The California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration

The California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration (CCLA) will strategically leverage the expertise around learning acceleration across the state in order to provide resources and support that can be accessed by every educator. CCLA’s vision is to build the capacity of administrators, teachers, paraeducators, and instructional coaches to support all students in TK-12, regardless of gender, race, learning differences, and socio-economic background through equitable, inclusive, evidence-based strategies intentionally integrated system-wide.

The design of the CCLA work will include an online repository of high-quality professional learning resources for mathematics, literacy, and language development that integrate Universal Design for Learning, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and social-emotional learning practices within the Multi-Tiered System of Support framework. Seven regional hubs – housed in partner county offices of education – will be actively engaged in developing capacity across the state through local support and capacity building, professional learning networks, regional events, and customized coaching. This structure builds a foundation for local sustainability following the conclusion of the grant. Ultimately, the goal is that every student in California has developed math, literacy, and language development knowledge as well as student agency within the learning environments to accelerate learning.
